ARCHERY DEER HUNT INFORMATION

KANSAS WHITETAIL DEER

Michael Calabrese (NJ) - Bow 2020

Our Hunting Areas

We have prime Kansas land that consists of hardwood bottoms and rolling farm land. There is no need to plant artificial food plots on our properties because our deer herds have some of the best eating in the country, such as corn, soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa. Our hardwood timbers contain other natural foods that deer love, such as several types of acorns.

We are located in Unit 8 in North Central Kansas.

How We Hunt

We will get you comfortable going back and forth to your stand location. All of our bowhunts are from either safe and comfortable ladder stands of our own design or from portables. If you notice during your hunt a specific area of deer activity that you would like to take advantage of, portable stands may be set up quickly for you to hunt that spot. We have dozens of stand locations throughout our properties, and we only hunt a stand according to what the best wind direction is for that stand, no matter what!

Overall Details About Our Archery Hunts

Our 6-day archery hunts are semi-guided. We provide lodging, two homestyle meals and a light lunch each day, a tower and target range for shooting your bow, treestands, field-dressing and packing out game, meat handling -- transporting your deer to the locker, and a taxidermist a short drive from camp. The cost for the Kansas hunt is $3000.00. All fees are for professional outfitter services only. A deposit of 50% of the cost of the hunt is required to hold your hunt dates, with the balance due 60 days prior to arrival. Deposits are non-refundable. In addition, you must purchase a Kansas hunting license ($97.50; or $42.50 for non-residents under 16) and apply April 1-30 for a Kansas deer permit ($442.50; or $118.00 for non-residents under 16). Kansas deer permits are obtained through a drawing. If you were born after July 1, 1957, you must have a valid hunter's safety card in your possession. In addition, crossbows are legal equipment. Tentative Kansas hunt dates are Sept. 13 - Dec. 31.
