KANSAS SPRING TURKEY HUNTS (UNIT 3)

Trail Cam Action!

Ron Peterson (IA)

Our Turkeys

Most of our turkey hunts are for the Rio Grande species. However, on the Nebraska border we have large numbers of Eastern birds. Our hunting takes place in Unit 3. The hunting pressure in our areas is very light so we have large number of trophy longbeards that are not call-shy.

Overall Details About Our Turkey Hunts

Our 3-day turkey hunts are fully-guided. We provide lodging, two homestyle meals and a light lunch each day, a target range for shooting your bow or shotgun, ground blinds, and a taxidermist a short drive from camp. Crossbows are legal equipment during the regular turkey season. Due to a recent change in turkey hunting regulations in Unit 3, a hunter is allowed to harvest only one bird. The cost for the hunt is $1000.00 for 1 bird. We also offer a self-guided 3-day hunt (includes lodging and meals) for $750.00. All fees are for professional outfitter services only. We require the total cost of the hunt due upon booking. Deposits are non-refundable. In addition, you must purchase a Kansas hunting license ($97.50) and a turkey permit ($75.00 + fees). A Kansas hunting license can be obtained online at the Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks website www.kdwp.state.ks.us. If you were born after July 1, 1957, you must have a valid hunter's safety card in your possession. Tentative hunt dates are April 17 - May 31. (Dates subject to change by Kansas Department of Wildlife & Parks.)

Special Archery Only Hunts

We also offer special archery only turkey hunts. Dates are April 8-16. Prices and other details are the same as regular turkey hunts.
